CREW NETWORK LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
June 2025 in Portland Oregon
Attending from CREW West Michigan was Andrea Scott, Jayme Kosal, Kylee Haywood and Jamie Millspaugh.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and gained some valuable information from our Eastern Midwest/Ohio Valley Chapter leaders meeting. Here is some information for content:
CREW Network Convention: It is time to register for the 2025 Convention, which will be held October 8-10 in Austin, Texas. This is an engaging and content-rich convention with deal making opportunities, business networking and the latest industry insight, plus learning excursions highlighting area projects. Register by July 10 to get the best possible member rate.
CEO Update: CREW Network has hired its next CEO, and she will start in the role on July 28, 2025. A member announcement and news release will be shared on July 8. Stay tuned for this exciting announcement!
Industry Webinars: Gain valuable industry knowledge through leveraging CREW Network's series of webinars and members-only discussions. Participate individually, or your chapter can purchase a group viewing license and host an event and discussion around the webinars.
Mid-Year Member Recruitment: Now is the time to recruit new members. Promote and take advantage of mid-year membership rates. Plan a recruitment event and ask all members to bring a potential member. CREW Network created a campaign package that works in tandem with our marketing efforts to help chapter efforts to recruit.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: The CREW Network board reaffirmed our organization's historical and central commitments related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. CREW Network remains steadfast in our mission to advance women in commercial real estate. Our commitment to accelerating success for all women in the global CRE industry will continue to be at the core of who we are and what we do, as it has been for decades. CREW Network delegate and chapter presidents discussed diversity, equity, and inclusion ideas, concerns, and needs, including strategies chapters can employ to mitigate membership, sponsorship, or event implications.
CREW Network Foundation
Scholarships: Our scholarship program is one of our Foundation's four pillars. At the leadership summit, CREW Network Foundation announced its 2025 scholars-40 talented female college students who will receive $5,000 (undergraduate) or $10,000 (graduate) USD (or the Canadian dollar equivalent) academic scholarships in addition to other benefits. An official announcement will be released in mid-July, and we encourage your chapter to share this news in your market at that time.
New Volunteer Opportunities: In 2026, CREW Network will launch a Canadian Scholarship Selection Committee to review Canadian applications in a separate scholarship pool funded by CREW Network Foundation Canada. Committee applications will open in mid-August in tandem with other 2026 CREW Network committees. Later this summer, the Foundation will also offer the opportunity to serve in an advisory role to review the Canadian scholarship criteria, eligibility, and funding capacity.
Annual Fundraiser: Each year, the Foundation hosts a fundraising event to bring members together to network, celebrate and raise funds. On Thursday, October 9th, we will hold this annual event at the historic Broken Spoke dance hall in Austin, Texas. The theme is "Boots and Bling." Show your support by becoming an event underwriter or purchasing a ticket for $325.
Career Outreach: Plan a UCREW or CREW Careers event, or a program on one of our research papers-it's mission critical. Report career outreach events to Foundation Program Manager Nichole Vanner so that she can provide you with materials at no cost to your chapter, post the event on the CREW Network website, and track participation and impact.
